    storefront decal

    unused
    and rather
    rare
    decal measures approximately 12" x 5 1/2" and was originally intended to advertise the storefront or gas station's business hours as well as to promote the
    Bar's Leaks
    cooling system tune-up product. The numbers you see on the upper/right portion of the decal were supposed to be utilized in the white squares next to the weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays to inform the public of the business' hours of operation. As the decal states:
    "Every Car Needs Bar's Leaks Every 5,000 miles - The Cooling System Tune-Up"
    . The decal features yellow, brown and blue colors. The last patent number on the decal's front (underneath "Cooling System") dates the decal to the very early 1960's. This water-slide decal was produced by the Simplex Paper Transfer (see back) and printed in the U.S.A. by the E.F. Twomey Co. (Los Angeles 15, California). Nifty piece of vintage automobilia!!

    : though unused, the decal does exhibit moderate age/handling faults to include cracks (a majority of the wear is on the left side of the decal).
