    Description

    This is a vintage single sided cigarette case that we know is at least 73 years old. The body appears to be solid brass. Clasp and hinge are in good working order as is the inside clip. Usual wear n tear, scratches etc with an item this old. Approx outside dims are 3 15/16" x 3" x 3/8". This case was made during the time period when cigarettes were non filtered and only about 70mm in length. Weight is 3.8oz. Inside dims are 3 7/8" x 2 7/8". 1 side as shown is plain and the other has the engraving Micke Initiation 4-4-48.  In 1948 I wonder what type of organization gave you a cigarette case after initiation, but back then over 40% of the population smoked. This case works well for business cards too.
