    Description

    THE HOOK-MICROPHONE DECOUPLER MOUNT, decouples metal to metal contact between microphone holder to microphone stand. Establishes a NEW START POINT at which vibrations from microphone stand are SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED, therefore a clearer recorded source due to the much reduced "unwanted noise' that effect the natural "harmonic structure". The Microphone Mechanical Decoupler (MDM) is easy to use as the unit connects universally with most OEM microphone clip holders and suspension mounts using normal 5/8"-27 thread. THS-MDM has been field tested, by independent audio engineers for two years, and tests demonstrate reduction of "metallic" type impact strike sounds, reduction of vibration and exterior handling noise, etc. VERY close studio-listening, indicates more "clarity" of recorded source. THS-MDM would be a useful tool in many areas of location audio recording, recording studios, live performance, etc. MDM is custom unit, hand assembled in USA. Optimal performance with Model MD150-70 for smaller/lighter weight microphones. Pictured are Shure SM57, Miktek PM9, Sennheiser MK416. Great sounding results on electric guitars and bass guitars where lots of vibration occurs with amp cabinets. Also a great addition to your existing suspension mount for vocals!
