    Stangl Pottery sugar bowl with lid

    Circa 1960s 1970s
    This is a lovely Stangl lidded sugar bowl in the Golden Blossom pattern. This design was made between 1964 and 1978.
    The floral design is done in shades of golden brown, sage green, and gold on a speckled ivory background.
    Around the bottom of the bowl, there is an incised scroll pattern. The interior of the bowl and lid are a golden brown. The lid has a hand painted light golden band which matches the band on the bowl.
    The piece is marked on the bottom with the Stangl trademark, hand painted, oven proof, Golden Blossom.
    This wonderful example of Stangl craftsmanship is in very good used condition. There is a
    tiny glaze skip on the lid’s handle. There is a ¼” glaze skip or scuff on the bottom edge of the bowl. It does not appear to be an actual chip.
    Stangl made substantial pottery pieces that stand the test of time. If you are looking for an extra sugar bowl to complement your current china, this may be for you.
