Nope! Schmidt's formula is 100% free of aluminum, parabens, propylene-glycol, phthalates, gluten, chemicals, and synthetics.
Is Schmidt's an antiperspirant?
Schmidt's don’t use aluminum which blocks the pores to prevent the body's healthy process of sweating--this means Schmidt's technically isn’t an antiperspirant. However, their formula does contain natural plant powders to absorb wetness, so even though Schmidt’s doesn’t prevent you from sweating, it will still help keep you dry.

My body is sensitive to baking soda, will Schmidt's work for me?
While some people's skin is sensitive to the topical application of baking soda, in many cases reducing the amount of product you are using can help--even to a 1/4 or half what you would typically apply--you'll be surprised how small of an amount can be effective. You will also want to make sure the product is completely-softened before applying to prevent incidental irritation by applying "dry" product. Perhaps the most helpful advice for those with underarm sensitivity is to regularly moisturize the underarms--in many cases, this is helpful in minimizing or eliminating sensitivity altogether. For some, just waiting it out as the body adjusts (particularly if your last deodorant was an antiperspirant), or rotating with your old deodorant, can also help. If you have developed irritation, discontinue use until symptoms are gone.
Suggested Use:
Hold product momentarily to skin to soften on contact with body heat. Gently apply a thin, even layer to underarms.
