Pelikan commemorates an important achievement for civilization, establishing the calendar, with the Calculations of Time limited edition. Engraved themes of the moon and sun commemorate the beginnings of our calendar, with calendar themes of everyday life in the Middle Ages incorporated into the ruthenium coated black metal shaft and gold plated filigree. The structure of a sundial with eleven marked hours are engraved into each cap, with a "shadow stick" twelfth hour embossed in the clip. Only 760 pieces are available worldwide, remembering the 760 years after the founding of Rome with the birth of Christ and the Christian calendar.
