The pen is totally functional.
It makes a great vacuum and draws ink.
You can see in the photos that it is functional and that it has writing.
Nib  made of gold with engraved Pelican logo and gold quality (14c-585) as well F .
Traces of use and partial loss of gilding can be seen on the gilded parts, trim and Ring
