This auction is for rolls of 4' x 15' 2 LB Mass Loaded Vinyl (MLV). Each roll will cover 60 square feet of surface.

2 LB TotalMass is a 1/4 inch thick material that is black in color. Mass loaded vinyl, or acoustic barrier, was one of the first real innovations in the sound isolation market. Unlike other sound isolation products, MLV can provide instant mass with damping to any location. In walls, ceilings, floors, on machinery, household appliances, around pipes, exterior fences, doors, as curtains to divide a room or over a window, and really anywhere.
Our 4' x 15' 2 LB TotalMass is by far the most popular weight and dimension for any of our TotalMass products. The weight of each roll is just over 100 pounds which helps keep ceiling and wall installation manageable. The balance between performance and cost also makes the 2 LB TotalMass the product of choice for most of our customers. 2 LB per square foot TotalMass on its own has an STC rating of 32. That means our 1/4" MLV material almost performs better than a 2" x 4" wall with 5/8" drywall on each side of the wall. However, MLV is not known for as a strong performer in low frequencies compared to a resilient sound clip system or a wall with Green Glue applied. But given other advantages of MLV it should still be in consideration for your sound isolation project. Also, please consider the overall product and shipping price when comparing our price for mass loaded vinyl to our competitors.
Installation
Installation on walls and ceilings is easiest if done parallel to the framing so the seams can be hidden between studs. Use basic nails, screws, or a staple gun to attach the MLV to the framing. If you are installing MLV on pipes or other similar surfaces then drape the MLV over the surface and tape the seams tight. If you are installing MLV on exterior fences then either attach using nails with washers (to disperse weight and avoid tearing) or with grommets and wires for chain linked fences.

Each roll of 4' x 15' 2 LB Mass Loaded Vinyl (MLV) covers 60 square feet of surface. Figure around 10% waste for your project.

Forms Of Payment Accepted

Sales Tax
Any orders shipped to an address within the state of Idaho are subject to a sales tax rate of 6%. All other orders are exempt from sales tax.
Shipping
Stocked Products and Standard Shipping
We ship this product via FedEx Ground or UPS Ground from our North Carolina stocking locations. Pricing includes shipping and is only to the main 48 states.
Same Day Shipping
Most of our products ship same day from our stocking locations. The order cutoff time for same day shipping is 12 PM ET.
Order Pickup
Pickup is available for our products, but the order must be placed and paid for before picking up. Our distribution locations cannot accept payment or process your order. After using the Buy It Now feature for the auction you will be directed to the PayPal payment page. A shipping option of 'Pickup' for {{detail_product_description}} will be available. Finalize payment with this shipping method selected and we will forward you the pickup information within the hour. The 4' x 15' 2 LB Mass Loaded Vinyl rolls are available for pickup at each shipping location.
Freight Shipments
Orders of significant weight will occasionally ship via freight for an easier delivery and to protect the products during transit. These shipments require signature at delivery and inspection by the recipient for any damaged or lost product. All damage or lost product must be noted at delivery for IsoStore to file a claim on the recipient's behalf with the freight carrier. Failure to inform the driver of damaged or lost product will limit our claim to 33% of the value of the damaged or lost product.
International Shipping
We will not ship any of our products to any location outside of the United States.
Product Returns
Return Policy
You can return any product purchased from our auction within 30 days of ordering. A restocking fee will be assessed for each return (maximum 20% of the original product purchase price).
Return Process
To initiate a return, please notify us of your intent by email or through the eBay message service. Include your order number, name, and what you would like to return. We will provide you with the appropriate shipping labels with full insurance and tracking for your product return. Return shipping fees will be deducted from the amount refunded. This means you are responsible for all return shipping costs. Please write your name and order number on the outside of any box you return to us. This will eliminate errors associated with issuing a return.
Refund Process
A refund will be credited back to your original method of payment, and will post approximately two days after the date of processing. Most returns will process in approximately two to three days from receipt of product, depending on the complexity of the return. Shipping charges assessed during the original order will not be refunded.
Incorrect or Damaged Items
If you receive an incorrect or damaged product, please notify us immediately. We will promptly ship out a replacement or issue a refund for the cost of the damaged or incorrect product. Photographs of the damage are always helpful to begin the claims process with our shipping carrier.
