Cigarette case 800 silver Art Nouveau Beautiful French Inscription. Jugendstil

Beautiful Jugendstil  movement cigarette case. Very unique piece.  Features an Art Nouveau iris design with an elegantly engraved French inscription: "Souvenir de Papa et de Maman" (Remember Mama and Papa).  Perhaps a gift to a French soldier going off to WWI?  If these pieces could only talk.....  Made of 800 silver.  Gilt interior.  No monogram.  Typical German crescent moon and crown proofs. Maker unknown. 3.25X2.75 inches.  69 grams.  Strong spring.  Opens and snaps shut perfectly.  The only issue is a pin-sized hole in one of the flower petals.  Appears to have been done deliberately, but I have no idea what purpose it served.  Free shipping .
