Antique German Alpacca Silver Plated Cigarette Case

Description

Antique Alpacca cigarette case featuring a checkerboard pattern engraved in the silver plating.  The thin shell case opens up to hold cigarettes within the attached elastic bands.
In fair condition it shows tarnishing and discoloration.  One of the bands appears to have been tied into the slot.  The clasp is in good working order. Alpacca is embossed into the clasp.  No other identifying marks are noted.  There are some faint remnants on the inside of hand writing.  When held in just the right lighting you can almost make out what appears to be the name Dennis or Denise.  See photos for overall condition.
It measures 1 1/4" thick, 3 1/8" wide and 3.5" long.
