5 Stangl Bitter Sweet 8" Salad Plates LOT Hand Painted Trenton NJ Oven Proof VT. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
For auction is the pictured vintage estate sale items, a STANGL LOT of 5 PLATES. The plates are salad plates and have an 8 inch diameter. The makers mark states they were hand painted and made in Trenton New Jersey. One makers mark says oven proof while the other 4 say Dura-Fired. Most also have maker’s mark or artist mark or both. The featured pattern is called Bitter Sweet or Bittersweet like the plant. The pattern features orange with green leaves and brown accents. The flowers are around an orange ring on white while the underside of the plate and the rim are brown or light brown almost orange color. I’d say 2 look brown while 3 look light brown with tiny bit of orange mixed in, but of course this is just my opinion, please look at last picture to see for yourself.
Item is preowned and in used fair condition, no chips or cracks or anything like that, but there is some crazing and discoloration due to age, please look at the pictures to see condition for yourself and make your own opinion.. ***Items are sold as is. ***IF You Are Looking for perfect absolutely flawless condition plates to hang on the wall this lot is not for you. If you are looking for plates for the set you use or like home decor with some character this lot is for you.
