The Latex-ite 1 Gal. Trowel Patch is a patented, black, cement-like formula that's especially recommended for shallow repairs and wide cracks in asphalt paving. It repairs medium to large cracks, smooth rough spots and fills minor depressions. It trowels to a smooth, feather-edge finish and has Fass-Dri technology for rapid drying and setting. (Note: If product is not available to order in your area that is due to nighttime temperatures. Product may not cure and/or track in late fall and early spring applications).

The asphalt drive way at my rental home had not had any attention in at least 8 years (who knows how old it was before that). It was so cracked that it literally looked like alligator hide, but miraculously, there were no pot holes. There was no way that I could just trowel over the cracks due to the extreme generalized cracking of the entire driveway. So I literally hand troweled the ENTIRE driveway TWICE. I let it set up overnight before putting on the second application, and the result is amazing. We have driven over it for 5 days now with no signs of cracking. I will seal it when we get another good weather day. The driveway is approximately 400 square feet, and I went through 18 two gallon containers of product. It took 18 hours to apply. I was definitely tired afterward, but I am a 61 year old woman, so it is definitely doable by the average person. Use a kneeling pad and don't forget to put on sun screen even if it is overcast.

Purchased 4 pails of this last year. Applied as instructed with shallow coats in cracks that were less than 1/8 inch wide. See photos. Brown application color that turned black until it rained 4 days after cured - more than 10 days after initial coat. It turned brown again and never returned to a black color. After 1 winter all the cracks are present again. Useless waste of money. Company hasn't returned phone calls so there isn't any even though they say there is supposed to be one.

This product worked better than any other products I tried in the past. By toweling I was able to patch the cracks and fill it even with driveway surface. A lot of other products I tried can patch but failed to cover them evey.
